In many cases composite structures must be designed as a trade-off between functionality, performance & manufacturability, where the deep know-how of the manufacturing process is necessary. This is recognized by AIRBUS DS contracting SCSDK to develop CFRP/Honeycomb Sandwich parabolic antenna for a Moon mission of an undisclosed NATO member.
